Alec Smith is the name behind Lauriebeck Bagpipes. He divides his time between working full time as a Physics teacher, being a wonderful Dad to his 3 young children, and creating instruments that any musician would want to play!



A collection of rather stunning sets of pipes in varying stages of completion, plus a set of hand-stitched, inlaid bellows - beautiful.

Alec is more than just a bagpipe maker, he is a true craftsman who is enjoying a new challenge of creating mandolins, and anything else that might happen to be played with strings!
